Make the Most out of Adwords with a Smaller Budget

Make the Best out of Google Ads with a Smaller Budget

Are you a small business interested in using Google Ads, but only have a limited budget to work with? You can still manage a successful Ads campaign and compete against big companies that have a larger budget. To do so, you must focus on narrowing your campaign and knowing your target audience. The more specific you are with your target,  the higher the sales potential with your customers, and you keep your budget at its lowest cost. Here are some Google Ads tricks that will get you success, even with a small budget.

  1. Use Google Search Network.

With a small budget, it’s recommended to only use the Google Search network. Google Search is the most qualified and successful of the networks. Start with this network first, and test out others when your campaign is in a good position.

  1. Choose the right keywords.

Choosing the right keywords is important with a small budget. Use keywords that are specific to your products or services. Also, think about making some of your keywords longer phrases. Think about what users are typing to search for your product or service. For example, if you own a retail store, expand beyond the keyword “retail” or “retail store”. Try “women’s clothing store in Wilmington NC”. When you get that specific, you are targeting your most desirable audience.

  1. Target a specific location

If you own a business that is only in one location, then make sure you only target to those that are near you. No point in targeting the whole country, or an entire state for that matter, when you are only in one spot! Get specific by targeting  with your town or zip code. Or, use radius targeting, which is choosing a specific mile radius around your business address.

  1. Choose the hours the ads will run.

When working with a small budget, you may want to run your ads only during part of the day. Run your ads during the hours of your business. Or, run your ads during hours you know people are looking for your product or service.

  1. Target mobile users separately.

Consider creating ads that target specifically to mobile users. The screen on a desktop computer and tablet is larger, with enough space to show 10 ads. On a phone, there is  only enough space for 5. As more people use phones to search rather than computers, it is very important to capture this audience.
